Carol Baker

I have been a textile artist for over 30 years. Weaving was my first love. I lived in a region of the Ozarks and learned how to dye and weave with Dharma products. In the 1990's, I began using Dharma products when I wove large rag rugs on a loom. Nature as interpreted through watercolors, acrylics, and oils is my main inspiration. I started painting ocean, landscapes, and flora on silk scarves using Dharma's Jacquard fiber reactive dyes. The colors are magnificent and my scarves sell well. When I lived in Northern California, I taught classes and used the Seta Color fabric paints. I am currently in northeastern Florida near St. Augustine. I continue to teach classes and paint now with Marabu silk paints. I am active in local co-ops and sell in their galleries and shows. Dharma continues to be my sole source for materials.
