Color, creativity, and art are limitless and never-ending! My creativity usually manifests itself as a result -- finding a solution to a problem. As it was when I began my work painting shoes. Painting handbags and purses just naturally followed.
A "messenger of art" is really what I am. I love reworking a fabulous piece of art and painting it on an everyday item like a purse or pair of shoes. It allows people to see it in a different, fresh new way! I began using other paints -- ARGHHH, but have used Angelus Leather Paints exclusively for about nine years. I find Angelus Paints are ideal for leather, suede, vinyl, canvas and a host of other substances! It was exciting when I learned Dharma Trading was carrying them.
My studio is outfitted in nearly every paint color they manufacture – yet it seems another shade is exactly what is needed for the piece at hand. I've become quite the "mixologist" and yes, I do name my new colors - Michael's Face, Man Flesh, Pond, etc. So many colors, so much art – so little time!!
