Crush Dyes
My name is Clayton Rush and I am the owner and Artist of Crush Dyes out of Pittsburgh PA. I've been dyeing shirts for around 2 and a half years now and have always used Dharma as my go to for dye. I dye mostly band shirts since music is my other passion. I've been lucky enough to work with bands such as Geese, Thee Oh Sees and Frankie and the Witch Fingers.
My go to style is obviously the geode style. I just love the way the lines look, especially with a reverse dyed shirt, and the process of making the geodes and blanking off the graphic is almost meditative for me!
I'm really inspired by the great community of other tie dyers that I have come to know and love. To see so many different people come together with a shared love of the art and not only lift each other up but also share tips and tricks is amazing. It really drives me to keep creating and sharing my work!
I have used Dharma Dyes from day one and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon. The selection, availability and quality control are absolutely top notch and I have never had any issues! My favorite colors are Electric Green, Blue Violet, Dragon Fruit and Bahama Blue. I also use the Dharma Dyer's Detergent as a post dye wash and I have yet to find another detergent that gives me as much bang for my buck!
