Hello,
My name is Courtney Hartnett and I am the artisan behind Sleeping Giant Textiles. I am a fibre artist. I currently centre my creativity around the exploration of natural plant dyes. I use mostly locally found or grown dyestuffs from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Traditional methods as well as experimentation fuel my practice. I am committed to creating natural, organic and chemical free baby clothes and items as well as handmade accessories for Mommies. I use the following Dharma products: bamboo baby onesies, organic cotton onesies. habotai silk scarves, dupion silk and habotai silk as well as the natural dyestuffs (madder and cochineal usually). My son William inspires me and is the perfect model.
