Our family has been having the "Annual Back to School Tie-Dye Party" for over 10 years. We originally started with supermarket dye, and although everything looked good the first day, the pieces faded with the first washing and everyone was disappointed that their creations did not last.

I found Dharma Trading Co. about 7-8 years ago and we have been very happy ever since! Our designs are getting more refined each year and the results are amazing! We use Dharma's Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes and urea. Each year, we try a new dyeable. Last year, we did book covers, and this year, bandanas and shoestrings. The shoestrings are the biggest hit and we have "orders" for more. Personally, I am ready to branch out into something new, so I purchased the Tjantings Kit, Batik Wax, and some brushes, and I am going to try batik. I am very excited.
