I live in the scenic Catskill mountains of New York and I love creating any kind of art. I have worked in various artistic mediums my entire life. I quilted for many years and recently painted a quilt barn mural on my very large barn. People driving by often mistake my mural for real quilts. I am a romance writer and I love custom painting artwork on shoes. I also recently began silk painting and I am in love with this wonderful expression of art. I buy all my supplies from Dharma as they have great quality and prices, plus their tutorials are great.

For my custom painted shoes I use Jacquard Lumiere metallic paints and Jacquard Neopaque paints. The paint is high quality and stays vibrant, and they last quite a long while without cracking or fading in color. I have included some pictures of my artwork on the shoes.

For my silk scarves I buy the Habotai silk scarves from Dharma, generally the 8"x54" machine hemmed scarves and I hand paint or dye them. Currently I've been experimenting with Jacquard Dye-Na-Flow silk paint and all the scarves shown are using these paints, but I am now moving on to experimenting with the Dupont silk dyes also which I purchased from Dharma.
