Twenty years ago I made a random decision to take a silk painting class - and never looked back. I have always used Procion H Steam Set Dyes because the color is unbeatable, and (mostly) SilkPaint resist. I use a 1908 medical instrument steamer! Each painting is washed with Synthrapol before stretching. I still own some of my earliest works and they are just as bright. I enjoy making Baby Blankets - for the new children with whom we will build a bridge over the perilous future to a saner world. It's fun to create an image with the interests of the recipient in mind.
