I have been using Dharma products for the past four years. I am a silk artist, and I got my start painting flags for our local Color Guard. The clouds and O'Keefe-esque works are both flags that I painted for Color Guards. I also teach flag making seminars during regionally sponsored Color Guard and Winter Guard workshops.
My true love is manipulating the fabric and paints to make dimensional works. Many of my pieces feature quilting, trapunto, and beading to give added dimension to my work. The portrait was made using silk habotai and silk organza in three layers. My work is for sale at The Artistic Hand in Oviedo, Florida, and I have exhibited at The Jefferson Center in Virginia. I use Procion dyes, SilkPaint, water soluble resist, a variety of Dharma silks, discharge paste, - you name it - whatever I need to get a desired effect. I also purchased a vertical steamer from Dharma, and bless them for every time I have a large flag order.
