Emily Magone
My name is Emily Magone, and I am a painter. I have been painting on fabric and canvas for most of my life, but only discovered silk painting in the last few years. I launched my line of scarves in September 2012, my line of throw pillows a few months later, and my exclusive collection of handpainted wrap skirts in April 2014.
Nature inspires me. The idea of an unspoiled earth. The fact that everything and everyone in the universe is connected. I love the evidence of that connection within the patterns and shapes of all flora and fauna. I love the vivid color that occurs in nature, and the potential of the human mind to create the life that we dream of.
I use all sorts of Dharma Products! For my scarves I use 8mm Habotai, Silk Satin, Light Rayon Circle Scarves and Rayon Fringed Scarves, and for my skirts I use the delicious Bamboo Rayon. So buttery and soft! I also use the 18" and 16" open throw pillow covers, and I use the Dye-na-Flow Silk Paints for everything. I also just ordered a batch of the 5mm Silk Veils, and am looking forward to experimenting with those!
