After 20 years of difficulty finding silks and Sennelier dyes, I recently found Dharma. What a treat now to get my silks and dyes mailed to me here in Hawaii without a hassle, and at those prices.
There is a magic working with silk and the Sennelier dyes. Painting, steaming, washing, removing some color, painting, steaming, and washing again... Finally steaming and ironing while wet. The colors start to emerge, dazzling the brain and the eye. What a high!
I lived in New York City for many years, and now live in Hawaii. I have been doing the silk work for about 20 years, but am also a photographer and pastel artist.
