Gina Boudreau

Hi! My Name is Gina Boudreau. I am the owner of The Rainy Apple Shoppe where I sell my high end, hand-dyed yarn. I have been dyeing yarn for about two years now. I started off learning how to crochet back in 2008 and not long after, I became very interested in branching out of the "norm" when it came to the color and quality of yarn you would normally see in the chain craft stores. I have always been an artist , graduating from MASSART in Boston with my degree in graphic arts. I am also an abstract painter having sold quite a few paintings in my shop as well. I think my love for abstract art and painting comes through a lot in my choice of colorways for my yarn. When I dye a hank of yarn, I see it as a blank canvas. My goal is to make the yarn come "alive" with my colorways and names. I also have a signature dyeing style that produces very bright and bold colors. The more vibrant the better! I use nothing but Dharma Acid Dyes for wool. I find that your acid dyes are so rich and vibrant! I am never disappointed. I also LOVE using the fluorescents as well. I always try to sneak in Fluorescent lemon into my colorways because it literally glows on fiber. It's stunning. Just recently my shop was chosen as one of "The Knitter" magazine's favorite indie dyers along with other wonderful and talented fiber artists. We were honored in a beautiful 2 page feature! I would be honored to be a featured artist for Dharma since I absolutely stand behind your products!! Thank you again!
