I am a fabric artist doing hand painted Silk, Ice dye and some Shibori. I live in the rural mountains of Idaho. I have been an artist all my life and have specialized in Fabric Art for 25 years. I use many products from Dharma- Silk- scarves, bolts, Rayon fabric and articles of clothing, cotton clothing, Procion dye, DuPont Dye, Red and Green label dye, markers of all kinds; all the tools necessary for fabric art. I love color, it is the inspiration for most of my work, from Salt Dye Silk to Ice Dye Rayon. When the dye touches the fabric I love the dimension, flow, and blending of colors. I experiment with different color blends, combining different dyes for the Silk, especially DuPont for the outstanding color choices; mostly using Procion for Rayon. I love painting pictorial Silk- using life on a horse farm in the mountains as inspiration. What more can I say! Endless design ideas fill my artistic mind only to be realized when the dyeing begins...
