Hoytees is a one-man tie-dye lab in Prescott, Arizona. I have been dyeing for about 8 months, and the solstice it gives me is incomparable. I've had requests and have made everything from thongs to 15' tapestries. I use Dharma's Fiber Reactive Dyes because they are clearly the best anywhere! I am a self-taught artist. Born in 1963 in Cumberland, Wisconsin, I took to art as soon as I was able to hold a crayon (15 years old). Throughout my childhood, I developed an appreciation for my majestic surroundings. I would often sit in trees for hours with squirrels and nuts, or sit in a meadow with the homeless. Years of artistic expression made it clear that my life would be centered upon my passion for art. After high school, I attended "Rutabaga Art Academy for the Gifted and Others" where I discovered many discoveries. I am now an unemployed, full-time professional artist. I live in Prescott because it is a beautiful place with wonderful friends.
