James Dalton Bryant

I was sitting at home one day when a friend of mine stopped by, wearing an awful looking tie-dye. I naturally inquired where he had gotten such a horrible looking shirt. He said that his wife and daughter had ordered it off of the internet for his birthday. He indicated that the shirt looked nothing like the one pictured on the web. Before you know it, we were jabbering on and on about the lack of really good looking tie-dyes and the good old days when those bright, psychedelic patterns were everywhere. Before he left, he asked why I did not make them anymore. Good question. I have no idea why I ever stopped tie-dyeing. Always nice to see old friends.

As fate would have it, I was batting around the idea of creating an e-commerce website. I was actually in the middle of studying for my XHTML and CSS certification. One idea led into another, and up sprung the concept of making tie-dyes on the best cotton shirts and selling them on the internet. Nice, simple, easy concept. Right? Well, lesson learned, simple is only as simple as you make it. I wanted this grand site with every bell and whistle that you could imagine. Things quickly became not so simple. In no time at all I had made several large web sites that looked really great and had tons of content. But, they seemed to lose focus on the main objective and that was to make the best quality tie-dyes that I could. So here we are. No bells and whistles, but I hope you do find some nice tie-dyes. Peace.

About the shirts...

I use only the absolute best. Hane's Beefy-T 100% Cotton Tagless T-Shirts are the gold standard in the textile industry. I also exclusively use Dharma Procion MX Fiber Reactive Dyes that actually bond with the fiber of the cotton and simply refuse to fade away. The result is a tie-dye that will be around for years and, with normal care, maintain its vibrancy for a long, long, long time.

I personally guarantee that you will be more than pleased with the overall quality of your tie-dye and that the shirt you order will be as vibrant and balanced as the one you receive. Every shirt pictured on this site is an accurate representation of each style and not the best result of a thousand tries. In other words, you will not receive some lame, watered down version of the one you order. Guaranteed. My goal is to make tie-dyes that turn heads, get smiles and last a few years to boot.

On a side note: It is the unpredictability of the process that makes each shirt tie-dyed to be its own unique creation that, like a snowflake, will never be duplicated exactly. There are subtle differences and nuances in every shirt that I make, no matter how many times I have done that particular tie-dye design.
