I confess, I am addicted to Silk Painting! When the vivid French Dupont dyes are applied to the lustrous silk, the colors blend in a magical way. I love to share this magic with others, either through my work or by teaching others at my silk painting holidays here in Tenerife, where I live. These are designed for beginners, but I hope to later add workshops for those who have painted on silk before. I also offer watercolor painting holidays for beginners, workshops to include painting in my studio overlooking the ocean, and en Plein Aire sessions in local villages.

I love playing with textural effects, and so I usually combine several techniques in one piece, including the serti technique using Jacquard Outliners, lots of line building, wax resist, and anything else I discover that achieves the effect I want. Most of my silk (habotai 8mm), scarves (Flat Crepe, Silk Satin), brushes (sumi), and resist applicators come from Dharma, as they have such a great choice and good prices.
