My name is Jeanne, I'm fashion designer and owner of Illusions Lab. Before art has turned into my profession and then into a lifestyle, I had 15 years successful career as a financial analyst. For all these years while art was my passion and hobby I have been practicing many forms of art as pencils drawing, oil and water colors, pastels, glass paintings, stain glasses.In 2013 I was introduced to felting and amazed its unique techniques and endless possibilities. Learning and exploring the felting techniques gave me an idea of implementing art approaches in apparel and accessories line.
Illusions Lab creates one of a kind wearable art trough ancient hand felting process, using luxury natural materials from around the world. We focus on sustainable fashion, that based on ecological approaches and materials.Hand felted apparel collection is a tribute to an awakening connection between humanity and nature, the admiration of sophisticated patterns and bizarre lines of nature, and celebration of luxuries and fineness of natural materials.Felting fundamental techniques is a great eco-recipe because as a mostly manual process that requires a small amount of water and natural soap. Our collections include high fashion garments and accessories without compromising our commitment to using only natural fibers and fabrics.
The concept of creating luxury wearable art collections is rooted in the idea that everything we wear can be unique as our personality. The idea that fashion reflects our individuality as a foundation and essential element of dedication to the art of everyday life, lies behind a creation of Illusions Lab brand. Almost everything is an inspiration - nature, art, music, work of other designers.
