Judy LeRoux

Judy LeRoux is a professional artist. She has been happily married for 20 years to her husband and number one fan, Ken. She has been living and studying art since the age of twelve, when a very good teacher gave spare time a new meaning. Since then she has taken college courses and other classes to learn more. Working mostly in watercolor and pencil, she took a course in silk painting and fell in love with the medium and all the wonderful things to be explored.

Since then it has been all out for silk!

For the last five years, she has been painting silk and doing custom design work. She is currently working, or has worked with, the following clients: Trinity Presbyterian church in Asheville, Mecklenberg Trading in Charlotte, Worldfolk Lore in Asheville, and learning to do textile design for a company in New York, Appalacia a catalog on the internet, and doing custom design to order for individuals, as well as showing in the North Carolina Arboretum, the gallery Twigs and Leaves in Waynesville, North Carolina, plus doing art shows around her home area. Since she is relatively new at this particular medium and has only begun to exhibit her work, there are currently no show prizes, only very happy customers.

Twigs and Leaves art gallery is a good place to begin a serious professional career with a stable of other very fine artists. She is very proud ot be there.

Her strong points are color and design.

Thanks to Dharma, she has many happy customers! Her favorite Dharma products are Tinfix, Jacquard Red Label, Sennelier guttas, Potato Dextrin, Sodium Alginate, and Lumiere Metallics.
