Kamau Osei Omari

Kamau Osei Omari Nee Edwin Argartha Scott is a 49-year-old born in Thomasville, Georgia and currently based in Inkster, Michigan.
The art of fabric design, specifically tie-dye silk, is currently in full bloom. The artist was introduced to tie-dye in the late 60s. He worked with the cotton medium throughout the 1960s, diligently practicing folds and techniques that have been passed along since the introduction of tie-dye on the African continent.
Omari has developed several unique patterns and applied them, along with several standard patterns and an occasional freestyle patter, with a high degree of meditation and precision to the medium of China Silk. With purposeful and thoughtful color combinations, Omari has summarily developed unique and world class art.
Tie-dye silk is wearable, frameable, collectible, world-class art. Enjoy the experience.
