I am an Oklahoma native who creates Wearable Art for the woman who is passionate about her individuality. Each of my designs is as unique as the woman who wears it. Using natural fibers, I find at Dharma Trading, such as silk, bamboo and cotton as a base, I apply dyes using multiple surface design techniques. I favor the ancient Japanese art of Shibori. This labor intensive process is a serendipitous technique that yields delight and surprise with each unfolding.

I started designing at an early age, and with my creative mother's direction, mastered the skills of garment construction. I studied Fashion Merchandising, and enjoyed a long career in Fashion management. I wanted to take my fashion design to higher level and took a silk painting workshop at the Cleveland Institute of Art. There I learned about fiber arts and surface design. I was introduced to Dharma Trading and all the great products offered. I prefer Dharmas Procion dyes but also use Jacquard dyes as well.

Dharma has been a great resource for me. Products, instruction and connection to other artist are great offerings from Dharma. It is my go to for ideas and inspiration and a great read.
