Hello my name is Kathy Amen and I am a silk artist.
I create beautiful one-off textile designs including scarves, bandanas, pillows, and wall hangings. I receive inspiration from nature and my surroundings for my designs. The collection currently featured on my website are Winter Getaway travel-themed scarves.
I hand-dye silk and use the classic Japanese methods of Shibori, including Kanoko, Itajime, and Arashi to complete my creations. There are no two-of-a-kind designs which make my creations unique to each individual who purchases them for their collection or gifts.
