I am a self-taught fiber artist.
I specialize in the design and construction of one of a kind vintage style purses, hats, berets, and eyeglass cases of my own design.
What inspires me is any type of floral work, mostly what I see in nature, photography or in my own gardens.
I am now using exclusively woven silk ribbon purchased by the spool from Dharma Trading Co. in a variety of widths. I find this silk ribbon to be of the finest quality and I like being able to purchase it by the spool instead of by the yard.
I have been stitching for over 40 years in all types of media and I learned how to do silk ribbon embroidery many years ago. Upon learning how to make my purses I fell back in love with the silk ribbon embroidery process and how beautiful and realistic it looks.
I do not use kits and I do not do production work.
One of my handmade purses was featured on the front cover of the Facebook version of Inspiration magazine out of Australia in 2016 which is a stitching magazine that focuses and features all types of stitching to include silk ribbon embroidery.
All my work is available for purchase and I also do commissions by request.
