Lori Triplett

I'm a lifelong artist working in a variety of disciplines including fiber arts. Initially my artistic journey was geared toward theatre, but as my quilting journey began, I was learning more about antique textiles. Learning about the methods to make these textiles inspired me to explore ancient dyeing methods and hand painting fabrics. African indigo resist techniques inspired me to explore modern uses of the artistry done for a millennial.
Nature and the world around me drives my artistic expression from which I create cotton and silk textiles to wear, frame or use in quilts. My art work has been seen in magazines, newspapers, and books. My work has also been displayed in quilt shows, art shows, and exhibitions. Additionally I teach workshops and classes around the country on Adire: African Indigo Resist. My current artistic goals include working on two different series of quilts: Tree of Life, and In the Beginning (creation story.)
