Wearable art & fashion design have always been my passion. I express my creativity & style painting on silk fabrics. I have enjoyed using Dharma's Dupont and Jacquard Silk Dyes because of the bright luscious colors they offer. My imagination is often triggered by an interesting conversation or something curious I may learn about through reading. Painting on fabric is so relaxing, and exciting.
My education includes a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia with a major in Textile Design & a minor in Fashion.
I also studied silk painting & fabric dying with the Japanese designer, KumikoMurashima. Under her direction, I learned traditional Japanese Katazome.
I have experience in painting all types of material & surfaces including interior & exterior walls, designs on cars, furniture, fashion fabrics, costumes (stage & movies).
