My name is Maddy McCarthy & I am an indie dyer of luxury yarns.
My yarns go under the name of Dyeing For A YARN.
I started dyeing just over a year ago when my arthritis prevented me from knitting as much as I liked but I didn't want to loose the connection with yarn.
I stumbled upon a FB page called yarn dyeing with just a few knowledgeable members.
I bought books, food colouring & a few cheap wool yarns, just in case I didn't like it.
I must admit I was very nervous the first time I tried it but I was smitten, truly addicted from day one.
I then joined a yarn co-op & a dye co-op on FB where I first learnt about Dharma dyes.
My dyeing has grown into a passion now & I sell quite a few here in the UK & overseas.
In recent months I have started buying direct from you, 14 or so pots at a time including this evening. Within about 3 minutes of placing my order my phone rang & to my great surprise Dharma Trading was calling me !!!!!!! OMG how pleased was I :-)
I use your Acid & Fibre Reactive dyes of which I now have many wonderful colours.
