Rumball Tie Dye

My name is Matt Rumball, I operate Rumball Tie Dye in Erie, Pennsylvania. I dyed my first shirt at the age of 4 during a YMCA daycare event. I still remember how much joy it brought me, and is one of the reasons I started dying as an adult. My inspirations come mostly from things in nature, like sunsets, flowers, birds and all that good stuff found in creation. Reflecting those types of things on fabric usually comes out looking pretty awesome. I have dyed all types of fabric but enjoy dying tapestries and bandana the best! I discovered Dharma's all cotton tread bandana years ago and they are the only ones I will use. I also use various Dharma dyes and their bottles are great for large projects. Early on into dying I contacted one of the best tie dye artists I could find and asked him for advice. He said "you just got to keep making mistakes until you don't brother". I have found that to be true.
