Maya Nagel
Maya Nagel has been taking pictures of beaches ever since she came to coastal New England in 1996.
"Nature in general and everything coastal in particular inspires my work and spiritual practice."
As fine art prints, her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and been published as posters and prints. The process of making lampshades with her images began in 2003 when she discovered the dimensional beauty of backlit photographs. Two year later, she went online with www.lightingwithacoastaltheme.com.
She uses Dharma Trading's "Print on Cotton" Fabrics, namely the Fabrisign Cotton Sateen onto which she prints her photographs with an inkjet printer using Dharma Pigment Dyes.
