Who am I?: Michelle C. Gibson, an eco-contemporary women's ready-to-wear fashion designer, and a true free spirit from Prince George's County, Maryland.

What I make: Made-to-order womenswear for modern women on a mission to inspire others while pursuing their own dreams. A look made for her that celebrates the moments when she confidently walks into the world's spotlight. Each Michelle C. Gibson collection is visually narrated through vibrant palettes, abstract digital prints designed by MCG, and luxurious textiles (from Dharma!) shaped into chic silhouettes. Created in March 2012, the innovative perspective of this indie fashion brand is built upon the New Definition of Fashion: Designing with a respect or sustaining nature's resources without sacrificing quality or aesthetic. Hence, all garments are proudly 100% made-to-order in the USA (by me!), customizable, and constructed from the finest high quality of natural, organic, hand-dyed, custom digital printed, upcycled, vegan (faux), and/or one-off textiles (all solid colored fabrics are from Dharma and are either left naturally white or hand-dyed - currently w/ Rit Dye ... I plan to experiment with the natural dyes soon!).

What inspires me to create: The essence of nature, the rhythm of a song, and the narrative of my life, all reproduced into wearable art.

The Dharma Products that I used: White Silk Charmeuse (also hand-dyed cobalt), White Silk Organza (also hand-dyed aqua), White Silk Chiffon, Black Silk Chiffon, White Silk Crepe de Chine (also hand-dye fuchsia and aqua), White Cotton Sateen, Stretch Silk Velvet (hand-dyed aqua), and all lining for the collection is White Habotai Silk 10mm and Black Habotai Silk 8mm.
