Miryam Millan

I'm from Argentina, Posadas Misiones. I requested a small biography, and as I am inspired by the work I do, (I work with Tjantings purchased from Dharma Trading), I write in Spanish not English, because I only understand some of the language.
I am an Artesana, my name is Miryam Millan, I have 52 years and I am interested in the brush on silk batik six years ago. All my works convey the flora (attached photo of a short sneak a flowering tree in my region, a pashmina with a orchid flower exotic), fauna (Picture attached sarong with jaguar, and pashmina with toucan, exotic birds), and culture (attached photo of a matching with guards made by aboriginal culture-guarani Mbya in basketry) from my region. I participated in crafts fairs and I expose my products in the local Missionary Craft Foundation.
I participate in the program since 2006 in Tri Ñandeva. I was selected by the INTI (National Institute of Industrial Technology) to represent Mission Design parael map Argentino. In 2010 I was president of the Association of Artisans Create my province. Since 2009 I was invited to attend the fourth edition of the regional fashion representing my province in the city of Corrientes to be held from 4 to October 10, 2010. Thank you very much, an honor like my work.
