My name is Pam Schmidt,
Art is my meditation. I lose myself in the moment... in the now.
And through that process of releasing from the tricks a mind can play, I discover my true self.
I thrive on discovering the expressive powers of various media and pushing them beyond their obvious uses. Currently, leather has captivated my attention in that its characteristics allow for me to incorporate drawing, painting, and sculpting.
I use Angelus leather paints from Dharma and I just love them. I work in leather and lately i am incorporating my functional leather art (masks, clips etc.) with my sculpture art.
