Patty Villanova

Hello Dharmaphiles! My name is Patty Villanova, and I have been using your products to paint on a variety of fabrics for many years. My company is called The Joy of Painting, and for the past five years, I've been an avid silk painter using the following fantastic Dharma products that I adore: Dupont & Sennelier silk dyes, Setasilk, the unbelievably mahvelous Maribu, and Jacquard, to name but a few. I also use their (Sennelier & Jacquard) solvent & water based guttas on a lot of my work.
As I was saying, I think that whoever started Dharma Trading was divinely inspired by a Higher Being because you have guys have given us such a gift -- Color on Fabrics. When I took my first silk painting class with Suzanne Punch (one of the true masters of the craft), I was instantly hooked on this amazing artform. There's simply no other medium that gives you the intensity, texture and movement of color that you can get with silk.
This is one of my most popular items. It's one of your cut silk patterned scarves that I hand-paint using Sennelier and Maribu dyes. The texture of the scarf really brings out the colors in a strange & wonderful manner, and people love how versatile it is as a fashion accessory- it goes with just about everything!
You might recognize this scarf as one from your vast collection. This was painted with Marabu and Setasilk and is also very popular with my customers.
This is one of a series of botanical scarves that I did recently. These take a lot more time as they're very detailed. They therefore cost considerably more than the others, but my customers don't seem to mind. This was done with a combination of Sennelier & Maribu on a textured silk crepe de chine scarf that I purchased from one of your competitors, who shall remain nameless. In fact, I promise never to buy from them again as long as you keep carrying all the scarves I need and crave.
