Robin Wilson
My name is Robin Wilson, and I am 26 years old. My husband, Richard, and I make tie-dyes and sell them in our store. Our store, Smelly Hippie, is on the Boardwalk in Makanda, IL. We've only been doing this for about a year or two. We use Dharma's Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes. We love these dyes; they are always bright and vibrant. We use the jet black dye for my shirts, and when mixed correctly, it is a great black. We also use Dharma's Synthrapol and Soda Ash. There was a time when I mixed my colors wrong and ended up with a bunch of pastels. I called Dharma's customer hotline, and the operator gave me the right measurements; I haven't had a problem since. These dyes wash well as well.
I have some shirts that I made for myself and wear them often, and they look just like new. Here are a few examples of our work. We have hundreds in stock at all times.
