Sara Hanna Cooper

My name is Sara Hanna Cooper and I'm the weaver behind Sara Hanna Originals. I create Handwoven baby wraps and have just passed my first anniversary of weaving. I started dyeing because I loved the look of hand dyed warps and weft and really wanted to try it! Now, it's all I do!
My daughter is the reason I started weaving in the first place. I wanted to weave something that I could use to carry her close to me. Each warp has a different inspiration; some are customs, and some are just from my overactive imagination. They're all an experiment for me because I honestly have no real idea what I'm doing. I just try to create something beautiful that people can carry their babies in.
Everything I've learned about weaving, I've learned on my own: through YouTube, tutorials, and fellow weavers who helped when I got stuck. I'm lucky to have a wonderful network of talented weavers that I can geek out with, share ideas, and ask for help.
These are my 2 favourite warps: the black/blue/beige/brown was a custom called Love Like Winter, and I used multiple dyes: raven and hot black, blueberry, Wedgewood, sandstone, chocolate, Brazilnut, and powder pink.
The browns and pinks on the other (Magic and Romance) were partially ice dyed and partially mixed dyes that were injected using syringes: chocolate brown, Brazilnut, sandstone, ecru, powder pink, madrone, and a few others that I've forgotten.
