Shelley Monkland

My name is Shelley Monkland and I am a Textile Designer/artist.I am Bundjalung (Northern New South Wales) and Gubbi Gubbi (Sunshine Coast, Queensland) Aboriginal woman from Australia.
I have been buying Dharma products for about 5 years now, absolutely love your customer service and the products.
I recommend your site to everyone, I have been using your Procion MX dyes to dye Hemp, Bamboo and your Pineapple fabric- these are then made into cushions lampshades, bags, purses, jeans, hats, headbands and other clothing. I have bought the DVD on Soy wax batik and the soy wax, have yet to experiment.
I have been doing art and craft since I was 5 and have made it my goal to learn and experiment with as many different textile techniques as possible.
I screenprint, dye, knit, crochet, indigo dye, rust dye, napthol dye, have done traditional batik a few times, felt and sew. At present I am experimenting with paper cloth and deciding on ways I can use solvy and would like to develop my skills in hand and machine embroidery.
At present I am teaching at TAFE, I think this would be your community college teaching textile units and do several markets. I will be putting my website up hopefully within the next 2 months and sell at several outlets.
