Shelly Pint

Without Dharma, there would be no Halfpint Design Studio. I began my career in the late 1980s, always having been artistic and creative. When I started dyeing and painting on t shirts for two sons and their friends, I began with rit dye and acrylic paint. In 1988 I discovered Dharma. Soon after, I was selling tie-dye to the neighborhood high school kids and painted shirts to the moms of toddlers. I started doing art shows and festivals, and thus a way of living was born. I travel 6-7 months out of the year, doing shows. I sell online throughout the year. I use the fiber reactive dyes, soda ash, Synthrapol, and Jacquard fabric paint; and I would be lost without the versatex fixative. I also dye and paint the clothing Dharma sells. Especially the children's clothing. People love the colors, and I have perfected the art of pastel dyeing.
