My name is Stephanie Coleman and I make handmade ice dyed tie dye using the gravity method, but I’m starting to play around with reverse dye and trying out the muck method. I started doing this back in January. I’ve always wanted to try it out because I think it’s beautiful and not like normal tie dye. My dear friend Sunflower does the ice dye and was kind enough to let me come over and use her supplies. Once I tried it I caught the tie dye bug and fell in love! I think what inspires me the most is people. When people love what I create and I see them wearing my art it makes my heart full and makes me want to create more. My favorite part about tie dye is that everything is unique and you never know how it’ll turn out. I love the idea of earthy tones and that tends to be my style. I use the Dharma Fiber Reactive Dyes and my favorite color combo is Shiitake Mushroom and Teal Blue!
