Sue Bleiweiss
I am a fiber artist with a passion for using dyes, paints, printmaking and stitch to manipulate the surface of fabric. I am fascinated by the challenge of creating texture either real or implied to a piece of fabric. It's this challenge that drives me into the studio every day where I work very intuitively usually designing as I go and letting the materials I'm working with guide the process.
My goal has never been to create a perfect and flawless surface. It is to create something that excites the viewers eyes when they look at it, makes them wonder when they reach out to touch it, and inspires their own imagination when they consider how it was created.
