Ye Interior Design

We are Valeria Flores and Sofía Chacón, Young Textile designers from Costa Rica. We create a brand that is call "Yë Interiorismo". Yë is a Cabecar word (A native group from Costa Rica) and it means autochthon-native, it means "that belongs to some place", all of our creations are based on the Costa Rican natural beauty, the objetive is to find beauty and design on the ordinary things, feeling identified by all the textures, colors, experiences and memories we can feel in our beautiful country.
Our first Collection is called "Kawe" and It's inspired in the Caribbean Costa Rican Coast, specifically in Cahuita National Park. Cahuita is a place where the Costa Rican diversity converges. In Walter Ferguson (a famous calypso singer in Costa Rica) words, the word "Cahuita" come from different languages, natives said "Kawi", black people "Kawe" and spanish people "Sangrillo". It is the union from two words "Kawe" that means tree, and "Ta", "KaweTown", It literally means Tree's Town.
Kawe collection is about the Caribbean coast, the energy, natural beauty and diversity, all united to create textures, color and sensations that converge in a wall lamp series.
Right now we are selling our Kawe Collection on United States, so you can feel free to contact us if you're interesting about them, and soon we are going to have our Etsy store.
What we use to create:
-Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes.
-Soda Ash.
-Soy wax.
-Pebeo Setacolor transparent.
-Decofoil.
-Tjanting set for batik.
All the lamps are made from natural fabric like cotton, and have wood structure.
