Via Fortier founded Dyers Dyes in 2020 with the belief that tie dye is for everyone. I work primarily in ice dying, embracing the unpredictability of ice and allowing the process and garments shape the final outcome. I am inspired by the natural world as well as the dynamism of modern art. I exclusively use Dharma Procion Dyes and love how vibrant and rich their colors are. I am particularly interested in how the colors separate as the pH of the ice and garments varies.
