Wal Achmueller
Wal is an artist from the South Tyrolean region of northern Italy. Presently she lives and works in New York.
With early training in photography and color design, she has been working with textile surface design for many years, specializing in silk painting. Presently she focuses on expressing herself in archetypical art forms with mixed media.
Wal holds a master's degree. She teaches adult education seminars and coordinates programs for artists.
Combining her artistic talents with educational studies, she has focused on different aspects of color and form in the healing arts.
Wal's art has been shown in exhibits in Europe and in the U.S.A.
In her early days she used to use mainly alcohol-based paint from Sennelier - now, she uses waterbased dyes, and loves Dharma's pigment dyes
