Hi! I am Jan McFarland. Ten years ago my daughter went to camp and brought home a spiraled bandana she had tiedyed. It was so beautiful. I asked her to show me how to make one. Before I knew it I had dyed every white item in the house! I started to upcycle items from thrift shops . I had stacks of clothing and I needed a way to start selling…. I am so lucky to live in Michigan ! There are wonderful festivals happening every weekend during the summer . Today Sweetgrass covers the Michigan festival circuit with gorgeous tapestries t-shirts and one of a kind festival clothing and wearable art. Everything is hand tied and dyed. I have always used Dharma procion dyes and I love their clothing blanks!
