Recycled Beeswax Candle

Recycled Beeswax Candle

Batik is one of our favorite surface design techniques that uses beeswax as a resist to create the pattern on the cloth.

Once the wax is boiled out you can use it a few times more on your fabric but eventually it can gray the fabric instead of keeping things white due to the small amount of dye trapped in the wax. So what is an eco aware and frugal artist to do with all that leftover wax?

Jessica Kaufman of Waxon Studios knows this problem all to well and found a way to turn it into a resource instead with hand dipped candles. In this short tutorial video Jessica well show you how easy it is to turn your wax scraps into lovely hand dipped candles that are great as gifts, for emergencies or candlelight dinners.
