In this 3rd installation of the Natural Dye Workshop series from Slow Fiber Studios, Michel Garcia thoroughly illustrates the magic of colors from plants and insects. Beginning with a playful demonstration with garden flowers, Michel develops a foundation of pigments and dyes for calligraphy, paints for silk painting or printing, pure pigments for watercolor, paste pigments including Maya Blue for wood and plaster walls, and dye extracts for one-bath dyeing of protein fibers. Perfect for silk painters, screen printers and Eco-dyers who are interested in utilizing natural pigments for direct application. This DVD will open doors to those who work with color and live with imagination!
