Jill Kennedy is the well known silk paint artist and co-author of "Silk Painting - New Ideas and Textures". She is also a great teacher! Jill's lively presentation and well-organized format make this how-to DVD fun to watch. She's very clear, concise, and her lovey British accent is a joy to listen to. The techniques she covers are perfect for beginners through intermediate silk painters and include getting set up, water, salt, alcohol, and sugar techniques; she also demystifies things like thickeners, discharge agents, anti-spread, waxes and gutta. Demonstrations include working with both paints and dyes, and how to set them, including chemical and steam setting options. She says there's much more to learn, but we think there is enough here to keep anyone happily experimenting for a long time!
UPDATE: Jill has done a new online workshop for Studio Galli called "Silk Painting Workshop with Jill Kennedy" ! If DVDs 'aren't your thing' or you already have and and enjoyed her Silk Painting DVD here is another way to get more of Jill's fantastic silk tutorials whenever you want them!
