Shorts usually have a lot of sewing showing around the waist and pockets so if you want a good dye job, it's better if they're sewn with cotton thread like these. 100% heavy cotton Jersey, with 2 side pockets, narrow elastic waistband, cut oversize to shrink to fit and fall mid-thigh. Very well made in the USA.

I have not dyed this since lass summer but these shorts are not soft anymore. They are stiff and difficult to fold
