I've tie-dyed several of these and am mostly satisfied. On a few of them the interfacing along the front edge didn't survive the dying process and I had to add fusible interfacing to make them look nice but they take color very well and are generously sized as you would expect for a jacket to be worn over other clothing.

Very easy to dye and didn't have any problems in the washing or drying machines. It also looks awesome in a chemistry lab.

These are very poor quality and not 'lab coats' at all - if you plan on actually using them vs. playing dress up. The fabric is quite light weight - lighter than a shirt weight poplin. After washing the edge finishing is wretched twists and curls everywhere and takes an enormous amount of time with a hot iron to have even a semblance of pressed appearance. I tried returning these but couldn't because they were washed - even though the poor quality doesn't become evident until washing. I do not recommend these at all and very unhappy with Dharma after all these years.

I bought these to use at work as work smocks to keep my professional clothes clean. So far they seem to be doing well. I'd like to find something a little less clinical looking but that search through the Internet has been futile so far.
