Jacquard American Gutta

Solvent based gutta made locally and without the added cost of shipping from France so we can offer it at a very attractive price. Thin it carefully (if necessary) and clean up with Gutta Solvent. Work in a well ventilated area. Store in a cool, dark place. Shelf life is approximately 6 months.

Clear Gutta is meant to be removed from the fabric. Gutta is an organic liquid latex and is not easy to remove from fabric. The best way is dry cleaning but it might not remove it completely on the first cleaning. Also, a lot of dry cleaners now use more environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals which may not work as well. You can also try soaking the piece in naphtha, gutta solvent, gasoline or mineral spirits. Mineral spirits won't evaporate as fast and will leave a greasy residue on the fabric. You can rub the Gutta areas to assist in the removal but be sure to wear gloves. Wash the fabric well afterwards with Synthrapol.

Colored Guttas are meant to stay on the fabric like a paint.
Do NOT dryclean, unless you need to remove a mistake.
