This 100% rayon twill has perhaps the nicest drape of any of our fabrics, including silks. The feel of it is almost "sueded". So soft and smooth you will think it is silk, but with a strong twill weave, it will last and last. This is the fabric that a certain line of high quality shirts whose name I can't mention is made from, and it is just fantastic. Perfect for all kinds of garments.

- You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
- We found that this shrinks 15% in Length and 7% in Width disclaimer
- Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 35 yard bolts
- Machine wash in any temperature water

Iced dyed the whole piece and then made a shirt. The fabric has the flow and drape of a great rayon challis. I also made a three tiered skirt and dyed it navy. It has become my favorite skirt for work. This fabric is opaque and still has a wonder drape. It does shrink when washed in hot so add 15% onto your yardage.

Fabulous fabric with a creamy drapey hand -- much like a similar weight silk. From a stitcher's point of view it eases in like butter and presses just as beautifully. If I could choose just one fabric to have or work with this would be the one. Love this rayon!

I bought a yard of this to see how it drapes feels and whether it would dye with indigo or not. The weight is much like that of 30mm silk and dyes in indigo roughly the same as silk (though it does end up slightly grayer than the silk). All in all a wonderful fabric for natural dyes that behaves much like silk.

I have had 10 yards in my stash for 2 years and finally decided to sew something with it. I bought so much based on the reviews and description and figured it'd be perfect for a nice summer dress. From the start it has given me trouble wrinkly as all get-out! Took forever just to press this because it's a rayon I couldn't slide the iron over it or risk warping it. If you've sewn with rayon before you know you've got the pin like crazy for accuracy so that's also a negative in my book. I just washed the garment after finishing it and I can't bring myself to iron it again to wear. Perhaps a top would have been wiser I'm not sure how I'll keep the bum of the dress from getting wrinkled every time I sit on it. In all lovely fabric to touch pain in the butt to sew with. I have to disagree with some of the reviews here that said it was great it's just not that easy to handle.

Gorgeous stuff! I read the other ratings to get a sense of what this fabric was like since I didn't have enough time to order a swatch. Truly lovely for draping. I was concerned at first if it would be opaque enough to use as is. Worked perfectly!

This is a beautiful weight twill rayon. Has a silk-like drape but feels like cotton. A great weight for shirts and skirts. I'm thinking about making wide leg pants with it too. I'll probably do a knee-length lining for the pants but you could get away without it. I haven't dyed or washed it yet but if that goes well my next order will be 10 yds. The only caveat is that I would not use this without dyeing it first. The modal rayon jersey is a beautiful winter white as is but this twill is more "Walmart bedsheet" than anything else. But hey you were probably planning on dyeing it anyway since you bought it at Dharma.

I bought this as a rayon alternative to silk for a eco-printed drapey shirt. It's very soft has a wonderful drape is not too thin and transparent. Feels good against the skin. It printed well and I thought that the feel of the fabric only improved with washing. I liked it so well I reordered 6 more yards. It will be especially good to try patterns on before I cut into similar weights of silk.
