Here is a really unique use for fabric! Open your minds to new creative avenues, all you fiber artists! Have you ever wanted to make a statue? Sculpt something? Well now you can combine the two. Paverpol Fabric Hardener allows you to make statues and sculptures from fabric, in a process similar to paper mache. You can even make it waterproof!

This is what you do: Dip natural materials, such as textiles, old t-shirts, any of our myriad fabrics, in Paverpol. Gauzes are amazing for this. It adheres to almost anything except plastic. Drape or wrap the material around a wire figure or other armature and leave it to dry. Finished products become rock hard and can be displayed indoors or out. Paverpol is non-toxic and doesn't harm the environment. It cleans up with warm water too!

Paverpol dries fast, but slow enough to allow plenty of working time (please note that paverpol air-dries, so keep it sealed up when not in use and it will have an indefinate shelf life). After it has hardened, you will have created a beautiful decoration, or sculpture, which can be used indoors as well as out. You can also combine Paverpol with paper, silk, chamois leather, self-hardening clay, polystyrene foam, dried flowers, wood, plaster, pottery, whatever! You can also color Paverpol any color you wish, using our Dharma Pigment Dye. Use Paverpol Art Stone to give your project a stone-like appearance and texture. Paverplast makes your creation waterproof, so you can make birdbaths and other items.

This stuff is so easy to use, so much fun, and so unique and interesting, we know you will enjoy it. Try it out!

IMPORTANT: Paverpol should NOT be allowed to freeze! Please take that into account when ordering during the winter months. Have an adequate supply to hold you over, or pay careful attention to the weather on the way from us to you at the time you order. Shipping by air helps, but is not guaranteed.

I've used Paverpol on large scale sculptures with paper cotton mixing with plaster to add strength shape over foam balloons wire armature. It is the best materials for safety and performance. plus it gives a sheen while white glues doesn't. I love this and as a sculptor I order 3-5 one-liter jars at a time.

Interesting stuff. I'll be trying this on all kinds of projects! It's weird how it hardens more and more over a period of days.
