My name is Jennifer, and I'm the owner of/slave to Takara Baby - a shop specializing in hand-dyed blankets, cloth wipes, and more. I've been sewing, drawing, and painting for a long time, but I'm new to dyeing. I started to do some research when I realized I wanted to make blankets and things that were totally unique, and hand-dyeing fit the bill! I ordered a bunch of Procion dyes (along with the requisite soda ash, detergent wash, urea, etc.) and haven't looked back. It is so addicting, and the colors are so beautiful and vibrant. The pictures I've included are of bamboo velour and organic cotton velour blankets dyed using the LWI technique and Procion dyes.
