Girl's Dress That Turns Into a Skirt

New revised edition! This is a garment that can be worn for years! She can wear it as a dress this year and next - and then wear it as a skirt after she outgrows the dress version. 100% Cotton Jersey knit. Not as heavyweight a jersey fabric as our last year’s version of this dress/skirt - which means you use less dye and it’s easier for a child to wear the garment (since it’s not as heavy). This version does not have the outer ruffling on the tier seams as last year’s version. This revision is sewn with a stretchy stitch so the tiers seam stitching will not pop. Adjustable shoulder straps have button closures with 2 buttonholes to allow for strap length adjustment. When this is worn as a skirt, just tuck the straps inside to go into “skirt mode”. Stretchy smocked bodice (waistband). Double topstitched needle hem. Sewn with cotton thread for perfect dyeing. And get this: The girls' size 12 will fit an adult size XS or S - but only as a skirt (not enough depth in the bust area to be worn as an adult dress). A good choice for dance theater organizations for their costuming departments - multi sizing for many dancers year after year. Sewn with Cotton thread for perfect dyeing.
